No one has won the $8 million top Powerball prize, meaning it jackpots to the next draw.
Thirty-one people scooped a division three prize of $13,910 after Powerball offered a $8 million jackpot forthe fourth time this year.
The winning numbers are 14, 15, 16, 21, 12, 25 and 10. The Powerball is 5.
Last week’s $50 million jackpot was won by a woman from Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Powerball was standing by to crown its fifth division one winner for 2021, said The Lott spokesman Matt Hart earlier.
“So far this year, four Aussies have become overnight millionaires thanks to Powerball. Could we add another to our tally this week?” he said.
“Two of 2021’s Powerball division one winners have come from Queensland, while the other two have come from New South Wales. Will good fortune continue to shine on players from these states or will we see a Powerball win land elsewhere in Australia?
“My tip for anyone buying an entry is to register your tickets to a player card or online account.
“Last week’s $50 million winning ticket was unregistered, which meant it took a while for the winner to realise they were suddenly a multi-millionaire. If they had registered their ticket, we could have alerted them to their life-changing win straight after the numbers were drawn.”
The mum from Sydney’s eastern suburbs has confessed she almost didn’t buy the Powerball entry that scored her $50 million because of the city’s relentless rain last week.
“The weather has been absolutely crap and so I wasn’t even going to buy a ticket because I didn’t want to go out. I also thought there’s no way I would be the winner,” she explained.
“But at the last minute, I had to duck out so I thought I would try my luck.
“It’s certainly going to make life easier. It’s going to help us all so much.”
