Someone has the chance to snap up $10 million in the Oz Lotto draw on Tuesday.
So far this year there has only been one Oz Lotto division one winner – a Western Australian player who took home $30 million at the start of February.
The Lott’s Ally Ramsamy said winning a $10 million Oz Lotto prize would certainly make 2021 an unforgettable year.
“The last time someone scored a $10 million Oz Lotto prize was in December 2020, so if someone scores division one on Tuesday night, then they will be the first Oz Lotto player of the year to win $10 million,” she said.
“One player could have some big Aussie fun if they scored a $10 million Oz Lotto prize.
“Imagine all of the exciting things you could do if you won division one. It would certainly change your plans for 2021 and the rest of your life.”
In October, a Canberra man almost fell out of his car when he checked his Oz Lotto ticket and discovered he had won $10 million.
“I won’t be sleeping for days,” he said at the time. “I can’t wait to call my mum and tell her as soon as I get off the phone.
“My parents have struggled forever so I can’t wait to tell them that I will be buying them a house and then I’ll be able to buy myself a house as well. This is the beginning of a new life for me, that’s for sure.”
In 2020, there were 24 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia, collectively winning more than $234 million.
Of the 24 Oz Lotto division one winning entries in 2020, eight landed in NSW, seven in Victoria, five in Western Australia, three in Queensland and one in South Australia.
