Armie Hammer played Blake Lively’s love interest during season two of Gossip Girl, but it seems there may not have been a whole lot of love behind the scenes.
The 34-year-old US actor, who is embroiled in a scandal with multiple ex-girlfriends alleging he has “cannibal” fantasies, starred on the CW show as Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen‘s brief flame, Gabriel Edwards, for four episodes in 2009.
And in a resurfaced interview on Watch What Happens Live in 2017, Hammer insinuated he was fired from the show.

“Let me just say that was a tough show to film, and I didn’t end up actually filming all the episodes I was supposed to because it was so tough,” he said.
Host Andy Cohen then asked: “Oh really? So you were like, ‘Get me out of this?’”, to which Hammer said, “It was also like, ‘Get him out of here’.”
A fellow guest on the talk show at the time, Chelsea Handler, asked if Lively had anything to do with it.
“No, no, that’s not what I’m saying,” an embarrassed Hammer said.
It comes as Hammer faces a host of accusations from two ex-girlfriends, Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, who allege he abused them physically and emotionally – and controversy around leaked messages he allegedly sent to women discussing his “cannibal” fantasies.
Hammer’s lawyer previously said in a statement regarding Lorenze’s claims: “These assertions about Mr Hammer are patently untrue.
“Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory.
“The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr Hammer’s reputation, and communications from the individuals involved prove that.”
Hammer split from his wife of 10 years, US TV personality Elizabeth Chalmers, last year.
