ALDS has been at the receiving end of the generous and open hearted kindness of Mr John Olsen more than once – you may recall that John walked $7,041 km’s to raise funds on our behalf and became our Ambassador in March 2009. John continues to be a person who thinks about others and has once more allowed ALDS to be the financial benefactor of his latest endeavour. We’re here to tell you about the latest feather in John Olsen’s cap – a book detailing John’s personal story (warts and all) and the amazing journeys he undertook during the course of two marathon walks across Australia.

We thank John for donating the proceeds of book sales to the ALDS and continue to wish him all the very best of life’s rich treasurers. We also take this opportunity to thank the author, Rhys Thurston, for writing so beautifully and for reflecting well, John’s humble and simple approach to life. Thank you also to John’s family and to Vida Brazionis for allowing disclosure of some of the circumstances of your lives and relationships with John.

By ordering a copy of John’s story – ‘From Point AA to Point B’ – you will be helping the ALDS to raise much needed funds that will allow us to continue our work on behalf of families affected by Leukodystrophy and, not only that, you will be helping the ALDS to express our respect and gratitude to John. Please contact Lions Club member, Mr Brian Edward on (03) 52 226 986 or bseapm@bigpond.net.au to place an order @ $20 per copy plus $6.35 postage.
