We are so proud of Josh Yates, an ALDS WA member who recently attended the Australian Transplant Games in Newcastle NSW. Josh won 9 medals most of which were in his age group 18-29 years and just to put those performances into perspective, we believe Josh was the only athlete at the games who in addition to being a transplantee, also happened to be legally blind. It was a cool and overcast day for our 4th Annual Fundraising Golf Day, but luckily there was little wind and this somewhat grey day, was not at all marred by the weather. On Sunday, 14th October, our very own Adrian Stephenson, after months of pounding the tracks and concrete of Melbourne with its four seasons in one day, ran a mighty race in Melbourne’s premier running festival and managed to raise an even mightier $6,156 for ALDS and their families.
